Piper was owned by a family until she was 7, then given to a family member who had her for a year. She was then given up free to good home on Gumtree, where she was rehomed again after 2 weeks to the people who then surrendered to us, who had Piper for 6 weeks but unfortunately due to medical reasons couldn't keep her. Piper is actually 9 on Christmas Day!
We are so grateful we ended up with this amazing girl, she is so incredibly clever and the most loyal little companion.
As per her last update and fundraiser, when she joined us she was heavily weeing blood. After some vet checks, she was put onto antibiotics which are ongoing now.
Piper had a mass inside her bladder, which now seems to have cleared up! The lining of her bladder is still very thick, but for now she doesn't need an operation and will be carefully monitored by her lovely foster family, and have regular vet checks. Her blood work came back good, her urine samples showed that she has stones in her bladder.
She is in foster with 2 other dogs and gets along fine with them but is much more comfortable with people so would be best suited to a pet free home. She likes being the centre of attention.
She has lived with children in the past and adored them but due to her age could probably do with a kid free or older child home just to get a little peace.
