Toby is a nearly 2 year old dachshund possible cross who is looking for his forever home.

This will need to be a totally child free (including visiting) home, Toby has previously bitten a child in his previous home.

Toby is fine with other small/mid sized dogs when properly introduced, he would be fine to share his home with one however he would be equally as happy as a single dog. Toby cannot live with cats, he will chase and constantly fixate on them if he shares a space with one.

Toby needs a calm, confident owner who understands that he needs to be treated as a dog and not babied, with clear boundaries such as not allowing him on the sofa or your bed, and good daily walks to get rid of some of his energy.

Toby will fixate on shadows, lights and reflections when he is stressed, and barks at the tiniest movement and noise so really does need an owner that will work with him and understand that he needs time and patience. Toby doesn't like being left for long and again, will bark frequently. He is toilet trained and non destructive.

Toby will bite if pushed out of his comfort zone initially, and will need more than 1 meet with a potential new owner, once he knows and trusts you as a safe person he is totally fine and a very loving, loyal little dog.

Toby is in foster in Leicestershire, he is neutered, vaccinated and chipped and his adoption donation is £185.
