About Coco
He is a 2 year old Chow Chow who has really had a very rough time of it being rehomed multiple times to people who don't understand the breed.
Coco is very typical of the breed, stubborn, aloof with strangers, and very intelligent. He's very loyal to his people and super cuddly when he trusts you, but initially will bark at anyone new he meets and this can be very intimidating if ou don't know the breed, and breeds with similar traits.
In the house he is well mannered, house trained, eats well with no stomach issues, he sleeps all night and is a pretty easy boy to live with. Since being in foster he has settled beautifully around the 2 resident bitches, but can get bossy and bully one of them until corrected, we think he will need a home as either a single dog, or with a female medium to large breed or other Chow Chow. We will only home him to people with breed experience.
Coco is fine with the resident cat, and has met children BUT, can't be homed with young kids. Coco has slipped out of the front door in foster (luckily well away from any roads) but completely ignored being called back, and when his foster mum got to him to put on his harness he has reacted by spinning round and caught her with his teeth. It produced a single minor graze, not a full bite, but we would not let him be homed around children now. He has also snapped over having a harness put on in kennels so definitely obviously has handling issues over this, hence needing the breed experience.
