About Connie and Charlie
Next up, Beans, Bear, Charlie, Pretzel and Connie, 9 week old siblings who came into as with their feral mum and dad at a few weeks old after being born in a garden in Ashby.
We learnt from neighbours that mum and dad were kittens from a previous tenants cats that were abandoned to become ferals, sadly all to common nowadays!
As they're in foster with their mum and dad, they are more skittish around people and will definitely need calm patient new homes with people who arent expecting ready made lap cats, they will be better suited to homes without very young children and will need working on to build their confidence.
Info from the foster attached...
A litter of five who have been raised with mum and dad, as both parents are quite feral the kittens are a skittish bunch but they are all curious of people and getting braver. They are all very rough and tumble with each other and all want to explore. All using litter tray ok.
Pretzel is full of life and is the most confident of the five.
Beans is just about as confident as Pretzel and will throw himself around the room after his siblings.
Bear plays well with his siblings but is hesitant to join in when we offer toys but is getting more confident everyday.
Connie and Charlie love chasing each other and their siblings. They also really love snuggling their parents. Charlie is more interested in people than Connie who prefers playing by herself when we’re playing with the rest of the kittens.
Kittens are all full of play so not cuddlers at the moment as they’re still all a bit shy around people but I’m sure they’d get there with time. Haven’t met dog or other cats but would likely get used to them at their age.
Pairings - they all get on really well but probably best pairings are Bear and Pretzel, Connie and Charlie and then Beans to a home with a playful or kitten friendly cat.
The kittens will soon have first vaccines and chips, and will need to return to our Swadlincote or Tamworth vets 3 weeks later for second vaccines and then neutering when older. This is included in their adoption donations of £180 per pair.
