Sadly the beautiful Hugo has come back into us recently after presenting with some new found issues in his home. While absolutely everything stands in his previous advert (he is AMAZING), he had started barking at and lunging towards moving cars. We are more than happy to get our behaviourist in when Hugo goes to his new home, but his foster has found it fairly straight forward to manage and it is very intermittent. 

Hugo absolutely needs at least 1 friendly, sociable neutered dog but really the more the better, he gains so much confidence from other dogs. 

He currently has a chemical castration implant in, but after this has worn off in 6 to 12 months he will need to be booked in for castration. If you use our Swadlincote vets we will cover this in full, or pay towards the cost at your own vets.

 Hugo is a real gentleman he is fantastic with other dogs and thrives when he has company. He can pull on walks and jump but out of excitement, on his own he is a very nervous boy and will bark and pull towards strange dogs. Once meeting them on lead he is lovely and wants to play but is less interested when he has a friend to walk with. He loves being outside and enjoys time in the garden. He is a keen gardener and can mischievous and enjoys a good dig (we don’t mind as he’s helping us plant things ), he’s great with our chickens and ignores them, he is exceptionally well toilet trained and has been left for 8 hours with no disturbances or accidents. He is a fussy boy with his food and prefers to graze eat but is getting better with set mealtimes. He enjoys a good brush but doesn’t like being brushed around his face much but will sit and allow this. He is ball and treat driven and will do anything for some attention. He is quiet and settled when left and at nighttime he will make someone a great addition to their home he is no trouble at all. Not once chewed or fought with the other dogs he is a very submissive boy so will do well with any kind of dog
