This is Layla, a 9 month old Akita x staffy who came in a few weeks ago due to issues with separation anxiety. 

While she's been in foster, she hasn't had any incidents of destructive behaviour, but in her previous home had ripped up a mattress and bed when left alone. She bonds very closely to her chosen person, and will whinge when they leave the room, it could just be to go to another room or into the garden without her she will moan about you being gone. 

Layla is great with other dogs once she knows them, she's nervous at first but soon settles in with them and loves to race around and play rough. She doesn't take hints quickly when she's a bit rough so would need a dog that either is happy to play a lot, or will tell her off nicely and teach her some doggy manners. 

She could happily live without another dog, she loves her foster brother but has always been an only dog in the home before. Having him around doesn't seen to help with her anxiety, although she can now sleep downstairs alone with him. 

If crated, she can and will break out of it to find you at night. 

Layla needs totally back to basics training in pretty much all aspects, her toilet training is pretty good in the day but can have accidents at night. She is extremely timid of new people, and the outside world in general and will cower away from anything new. Her recall off lead is great because of this, because she never wants to leave your side! She will need someone at home a lot, that can work on leaving her for increasing periods each day, it definitely isn't an easy job but she's such a lovely girl with her people that it will be so worth it.Layla isn't cat tested, but is really good with dog savvy bigger kids so could live alongside a slightly older family. 

Layla is spayed, vaccinated and chipped.
