Milly and Tilly are now ready for adoption and are looking for their forever home together. Ideally, we are looking for a home where they will be the only dogs so they can be the centre of attention. However, they currently get on very well with the two other small dogs in their foster home, so a home with another small dog would be considered. Tilly is disinterested in cats, but Milly will chase them.
Milly is the bigger and more outgoing of the two. She is playful, energetic, and full of personality – at times, she's more like a cheeky puppy than an eight year old dog! She loves a game of tug and a fuss, but isn't interested in being a lap dog. She'll take herself off to her own bed once she's finished playing, and come back to let you know when she wants more.
Tilly is quieter and more reserved, but a total cuddlebug once she gets to know you. She'll have a little play with her sister, but then she'll curl up on your lap for a nap. She does take a while to warm up to people, and looks to her sister for support in new situations. When she feels stressed or unsure, she can be growly and snappy; this has decreased massively as she has settled in with us, though sometimes still happens if she is woken abruptly (or when she doesn't want to do something!). For this reason, she would not be suitable for a home with children.
When Tilly came to us, she had some trouble with her skin. This has been checked by the vets with no underlying conditions found. She also a low heart rate, but no cause has been found as all bloods have come back clear and it doesn't seem to bother her.
Her skin has improved massively with regular baths in a vet-recommended shampoo and mousse and a raw diet. She will need to stay on a raw diet to prevent the issues from reoccurring. The shampoo and mousse - Duoxo S3 Pyo - are available on Amazon and from Pets at Home. They are £19.50 each, but the shampoo only needs using once every 3 weeks so will last a long time. The mousse needs using twice a week but a little goes a long way.

They have been left home alone for a few hours with no trouble at all, but they wouldn't cope being left all day. I know a lot of people are home at the moment, but please consider your life after lockdown when applying.

The adoption fee for the pair is £240.
