Beautiful staffy cross girl Winnie who came in as an emergency last weekend has settled fantastically into the kennels, but we urgently need to get her out into a foster home as we cannot afford to keep her there much longer.

Winnie was taken to a local vets to be put to sleep as she had growled at/gone for in their words the toddler in the home. No contact was made, no actual bite.

She is 3 years old, and went to the home at the beginning of lockdown at only 6 weeks old so she is a typical under socialised girl who is quite nervous initially.

Winnie will need a quiet foster without children, we would consider homes with teens in that will respect her space and allow her to settle in at her own pace. Now she is comfortable with the kennels staff she is a joy to be around, she is friendly and sociable to them and they've had no issues with her beyond the initial nerves.

Winnie isn't dog tested, so her foster home will need to be pet free or with the ability to totally seperate if needed. We were told that she has growled previously at another dog but we have no further info on that.

As you can see she adores being out in the secure field, and is a really lovely young girl who has just had an unfortunate time.

Winnie needs to be neutered and vaccinated, so will need to stay local to either Burton, Swadlincote or Derby to use one of our vets.
